Oh, you beat me to adding on my Blog too... one of the most amazing and moving clips ever. I am most impressed (should say 'challenged and encouraged') by the other videos in the collection too.

Yeah, I was looking at the others too. 'Gospel of Comfort' is a good one too.

I was blown away when I watched it.

His observation about churches not reading scripture out in worship was spot on. It's one of the things I hark on about at my church!

So moving too...

every now and then you see the Cross, glimpsed in clear light through the gaps of our clouded vision and in this clip we see it.

Very well said Tim...

John Goldingay was my theological college principle, and pretty unique in the way his love of the Bible and his real life were all of a piece. His description of worship here is far too close to the bone.

Used one of his lines in a sermon the other day "10% of what I say is wrong, the trouble is I don't know which 10%". It got more comments than anything else I said!

I had a lecturer at Spurgeon's a bit like JG called John Colwell. He was always very VERY honest and said some deeply profound things.

10% of what a say is wrong...I like that!
